Junior Training Tonight

06 May 2022

Dear Member

We hope those that joined us last week enjoyed it and are looking forward to a repeat on Friday, albeit hopefully a touch warmer!

Signing In

This will be the same as last week.

Training for U9s (Year 4s) and below starts at 5.15pm. If you have already registered your child, please take or direct them to the coloured banner listed below, where one of the junior managers will sign them in:

  • U9 (Year 4) - White

  • U8 (Year 3) - Red

  • U7 (Year 2) - Orange

  • U6/5 (Year 1/R) - Blue

The session will end at 6.30pm.

Training for U10 (Year 5s) and above follows at 6.40pm. Again, if you have already registered your child, please direct them to the banner below, where one of the junior managers sign them in:

  • U13 (Year 8) - White

  • U12 (Year 7) - Red

  • U11 (Year 6) - Orange

  • U10 (Year 5) - Blue

This session will at end at 8.10pm.

We do not “sign-out” children at the end of their session, so if you want to collect your child from the coach please head over to the group’s location before the end time. Otherwise they will be directed back towards the clubhouse.

If you have not registered your child please do so on the website by completing this form. If that is not possible in advance, please find one of us at the clubhouse before taking your children to the relevant area.

Subs and Membership Cards

If you haven’t yet paid your subs, please make payment to Chalfont Park Sports Association, sort code 60-05-50, account number 51198207. Please use "Subs [Your Surname]" as a reference. Fees for each age group are available here - if upgrading from a “taster” just pay the difference. We will also have the card machine available for card payments on the night, but paying online is much simpler for us to track please.

Food & drink

The bar is card only, preferably using your membership card, but credit/debit cards will be accepted with members discounts applied for the first couple of weeks. Card top ups won’t be available at the bar at present to avoid long queues - please can existing members go to The Club Shop to top up their card before going to the bar. We’ll let you know when membership cards for new members are available.

Rakesh and Tel will be providing the barbecue, offering beef burgers, hot dogs, chicken tikka wraps and veggie burgers. Payment by cash or credit/debit card. Soft drinks, cakes and ice creams will be available from the kitchen serving hatch.

Unfortunately there were some broken glass bottles found on the outfield after training last Friday, so please ask children not to take them onto the grass to avoid accidents.

Playing shirts

For our playing teams (U8 and above), playing shirts are available at a subsidised cost of £10 from The Club Shop, kindly sponsored by Yalden DIY & Garden. We do ask that when your child has grown out of a shirt you return it to us, so that second hand shirts are available for free to as many people as possible. We will start collecting these on Friday so bring down any that have been grown out of and you will be welcome to take a larger size to, where available, if you don’t want a brand new one.

A few other reminders

Once the car park is full please park on the road, on the same side as the club. Please do not park on the bridge or between the bridge and the clubhouse, on the side of the road next to the A413, outside the golf club, or in the golf club car park. Best of all - the foot and cycle path has been cleared since last year, so come down by bike or on foot if you can!

Please supervise younger children who are not participating, especially during the second session. We will keep an area free for them to play in but ask that they stay clear of where the cricket activities are taking place for their own safety. Please do not allow children to go beyond the fence onto the golf course.

We do have trained first aiders in place and have contact details for emergencies, but if you are not staying at the club for the session, we’d ask parents of younger children to arrange a fellow parent to be responsible for your child in the case of any incidents or an early finish due to rain. If that is not possible, please let us know when your child is signed-in.

If you need to bring your dog, please keep it on a lead, exercise it before you come down, and take any gifts it produces back home with you!
